Tap – a sharp single beat with the ball of the foot
Heel - a sharp single beat with the heel of the foot
Hop – from the ball of the foot, hop into the air and land on the ball of the same foot
Spring – jump lightly from the ball of the foot landing on the ball of the other foot
Toe tap – strike the toes of one foot to the floor
Step - transference of weight to the ball of the foot
Touch – place the ball of the foot on the floor without transferring weight
Step heel – step onto the ball of the foot then drop the heel down
Tap step – strike the ball of the foot on the floor followed by a step transferring weight
Flap – as the tap step, however, transfer the weight onto the whole of the foot making a louder 2nd beat
Tap spring – strike the ball of the foot on the floor and then leap onto it
Ball change – transference of weight on the balls of the feet any direction (two steps)
Stamp – transference of weight to the whole foot
Stomp – lift the heel and lower it while shunting forward on the ball of the foot, can be performed on one or both feet
Forward tap – strike the ball of the foot on the floor in a forward motion
Backward tap – strike the ball of the foot on the floor in a backward motion
Shuffle – forward tap followed by backward tap. Counted as “and 1”
